Our class went to the local market to buy some vegetables for our soup. It took about 5 minutes to get there. At the market we brought some leeks, carrots and potatoes.

BE CAREFUL OF KNIVES ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS EQUIPMENT Knife Grater Chopping Board Peelers Saucepan Wooden Spoon Apron INGRIDIENTS 3 Leeks 1lb Carrots 1lb Potatoes Chicken Stock Cube Grated Cheshire Cheese Salt and Pepper Cup of Oatmeal 2 litres of water

Method 1.Wash the vegetables and peel the carrots and the potatoes. 2.Carefully chop the vegetables into small pieces. 3.Place the water and the vegetable stock cube in the saucepan and leave to boil. 4.Add the chopped vegetables to the saucepan and stir with the wooden spoon. 5.Lower the heat to a simmer and cover with the lid for 15 minutes 6.Scrape the oatmeal into the saucepan and mix together. 7.Cover and simmer again for another 15 minutes. 8.If you would like cheese with your soup,now is the time to grate it. 9.When the soup is ready,stir in the grated cheese and leave to cool for a few more minutes 10.Ladle into bowls and ENJOY !!!!

When we weren’t making the soup we were writing instructions on how to make it. We were told to write out the steps,ingredients and equipment. Here is one of our recipes.

In class when we were doing art we drew some pictures of some vegetables using oil pastels. In art we also made faces out of different vegetables. Here is one an artist did and here is the one we did.
