1 Batch Creation Tool - Introduction Batch Creation Tool Demonstration Keeping Formulas on Track This demonstration will show how easy it is to prepare a batch of ice cream mix using Production Wizard™. To view all animations, please wait until you are notified to proceed to the next slide. We will be watching the Batch Creation Tool in action. Here are the main steps in the process: 1.Batch Creation Tool starts. 2.Select formula to make. 3.Enter amount to make. 4.Select tank ingredients. 5.Production Wizard™ reformulates based on current ingredient composition. The result is a recipe that meets all formula requirements while minimizing cost. 6.A batch output is created showing the amount of each ingredient to use. This information can be printed and/or sent on to processing, inventory, or accounting software. Click here to proceed to next slide.

2 This is the start up screen. Personnel use the Batch Creation Tool to prepare a given amount of product using available ingredients. Batch Creation Tool Demonstration – Ice Cream User clicks the Next button to continue. Step 1 – Start Batch Creation Tool Click here to proceed to next slide. Each screen includes instructions explaining what to do. This makes learning how to use this tool extremely easy. This displays your progress in the Batch Creation Tool.

3 Batch Creation Tool Demonstration – Ice Cream User clicks the Next button to continue. In step 2, the user selects the formula they wish to make. In this example, a 12% Fat Ice Cream Mix is selected. Step 2 – Select Formula to Batch Click here to proceed to next slide. The user can quickly search for a formula by name or identification number.

4 Batch Creation Tool Demonstration – Ice Cream The user enters the amount of the formula they wish to make. User clicks the Next button to continue. Step 3 – Enter Batch Amount Click here to proceed to next slide.

5 Batch Creation Tool Demonstration – Ice Cream In step 4, tank ingredients are selected. For this example tanks containing cream, milk, condensed skim, and skim milk are selected. The recipe is generated using the current composition of each. User clicks the Next button to continue. Step 4 – Select Ingredients Click here to proceed to next slide. The user can always go back to the previous operation. This is useful for example, if the user wishes to select a different formula. Pressing the View Notes button will provide further instructions if the user is unsure of which tank ingredients need to be selected.

6 Step 7 - Reformulate User clicks the Next button to continue. Batch Creation Tool Demonstration – Ice Cream Click here to proceed to next slide. If there was an issue with the formula, the View Diagnostics button would become active. This would provide the user with detailed information on the issue. The Batch Creation Tool has automatically reformulated the recipe as needed. If you would like to learn more about setting up formulas in Production Wizard™ please refer to the config demonstration.

7 The middle portion of the screen provides information on ingredient amounts and composition. Notice that the amount of granulated sugar is displayed as number of whole bags and the remainder in pounds. Just about any unit of measure and reporting scheme can be used in the Batch Creation Tool. Batch Creation Tool Demonstration – Ice Cream Step 8 – Prepare Batch Sheet Click here to proceed to next slide. In the final step, the batch report is displayed. This like many other portions of the Batch Creation Tool can be customized to meet the customer’s needs. Key information such as the total batch size and composition are displayed in the upper part of the screen. The bottom portion of the screen shows output operations. In this example, a custom batch report is printed, ingredient usage is subtracted from the tank amounts, and the output is being exported for use by a customer’s inventory/accounting software.
