I OWA CTG G OAL Improve statewide awareness for clinical prevention screenings and healthy lifestyle behaviors through consistent messaging in public health, primary health care, business, and community settings; and to create community-based strategies for systems and environmental changes in a 26 county subgroup to improve access for healthy opportunities.

S TRATEGIC D IRECTION II: A CTIVE L IVING AND H EALTHY E ATING Healthy Eating in Worksites Increase the number of worksites providing healthy food and beverage options through procurement practices or healthy meetings policies.

S TRATEGIC D IRECTION II: A CTIVE L IVING AND H EALTHY E ATING Healthy Eating in Communities Increase the number of community locations with improved availability of healthy food and beverage options.

S TRATEGIC D IRECTION II: A CTIVE L IVING AND H EALTHY E ATING State-level Objectives Increase the number of school districts and child care centers with healthy food procurement practices. Increase the number of Iowa counties covered under a comprehensive food systems plan. Increase the number of public places to include state buildings, rest areas, and state parks that decrease the proportion of sugar-sweetened beverages offered and increase the number of healthy food options using the NEMS-V criteria.
