7 S TRATEGIC D IRECTION II: A CTIVE L IVING AND H EALTHY E ATING Healthy Eating in Communities Increase the number of community locations with improved availability of healthy food and beverage options.

8 S TRATEGIC D IRECTION II: A CTIVE L IVING AND H EALTHY E ATING State-level Objectives  Increase the number of school districts and child care centers with healthy food procurement practices.  Increase the number of Iowa counties covered under a comprehensive food systems plan.  Increase the number of public places to include state buildings, rest areas, and state parks that decrease the proportion of sugar-sweetened beverages offered and increase the number of healthy food options using the NEMS-V criteria.
