Silver, Gold, & Gold Award of Distinction Additional Requirements Submit completed and legible production records – Calendar lunch menus must match production records – Document all participation, (students and adults) – Items listed in quantifiable units (e.g., pounds, ounces, #10 cans) or by number of servings – Adequate portion sizes can be determined through documentation provided – Amount of food offered/served and leftovers are clearly stated – Menus must indicate actual food served; indicate menu changes – List all foods in proper category, (meats, vegetables, breads, fruits, milk varieties, etc.) – Indicate foods served for breakfast or lunch

Required for All Award Levels Additional Documentation – Breakfast and lunch menus for two consecutive weeks consisting of five days per week – Standardized recipes for combination foods, manufacturer’s documentation for whole-grain products and items that may need clarification in meeting HUSSC criteria – Copy of competitive food calculator results with labels – Copies of completed NSLP 6-cent certification Menu Worksheets for the consecutive two-week period

Alliance for a Healthier Generation Healthy Schools Program (HSP) Streamlined Application Process HUSSC HUSSC fast-tracks recognition for HSP awardees: Schools with any level of HSP Award can bypass the application process for nutrition education, physical education and physical activity sections. Submit a copy of your HSP National Recognition Award
