2. Hi everyone, today is career day! Your parents have joined us today to share with the class what it means to be honorable and how honor is reflected in their field of work. Allow me to introduce our first guest speaker, Charlie’s mom, Mrs. Applebee.

3. Thank you all so much for having me. My name is Mrs. Applebee and I am a doctor. I absolutely love what I do! I enjoy making the lives of others healthier and happier. My job is considered honorable because I devote my time to helping others. Now, allow me to introduce our next guest, Mr. Canopie.

4. Hello boys and girls. My name is Mr. Canopie, and I am a firefighter. My job is to inform everyone of the importance of fire safety. But more importantly, I am responsible for putting out fires and saving people from those fires. My job is considered honorable because firefighters risk their own lives in order to save others.

5. Hello class, I am Benny’s father, Officer Ryan. My job is to enforce the law and to make sure everyone is safe. My job is dedicated to helping others. I guess you can say my job is very honorable, indeed! Now let’s give a warm welcome to Miss Honey!

6. Hi everyone! My name is Miss Honey and my job is to take care of animals. Can anyone guess what my job is?

7. A veterinarian!

8. That’s right! I am a veterinarian and my job is to make sure animals live happy and healthy lives just like you! I love helping animals and I am so happy I can be here today to share that love with all of you! Veterinarians are very honorable people because we devote our time to all kind of animals.

9. That just about wraps up career day. We all learned that honor is an act in which a person reaches out to others not for any reason but to better those people. I want to thank the parents who gave us their time to teach us a little about what they do. Class, tonight I want you to think about what you would like to grow up to be. Perhaps one day you will be as honorable as your parents. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their day. I will see you all tomorrow!
