Dwarf Raspberry (Rubus pubescens) Family: Rosaceae (ro-ZAY-see-ee) Means rose-like and in the rose family. Genus: Rubus (ROO-bus) Means red but also can refer to the Latin name for brambles. Species: pubescens (pew-BES-senz) Means downy or short haired. Alternative Pronunciation: pub-ess-ens

Dwarf Raspberry Also known as trailing rose. Height - low or creeping vine. Stems - hairy erect stems. Leaves - alternate compound leaves, three coarsely-toothed leaflets. Flowers - white to pale pink. Fruit - normal raspberry shape and colour but is much harder to remove from the shrub than most other types of raspberries. Future location of photo.
