15 National Consortium for Teaching about Asia (NCTA) –Locally host NCTA’s East Asian Studies Workshops –Provide ACT48 credits, teacher stipend, and materials at no cost to districts –30 regional participants in 2009 UPenn’s Center for East Asian Studies (CEAS) –Regional opportunities for seminars and programs (low cost) –“vetting” of Curriculum resources and materials on behalf of the ASC World Affairs Councils (WAC) –Local presentations by representatives from Dept of State, National Embassies, etc. (example: The Future of Korea) BUILDING CAPACITY: PARTNERSHIPS
