2. FRIENDLY LETTERS How many of you have ever been away from home and ever written to someone….maybe a grandparent, friend, or parent? Has anyone ever written a letter to a relative who lives at a distance?

4. FRIENDLY LETTERS  Let’s learn a little bit more about friendly letters while we watch this video.  Take note of all the parts of a friendly letter. 5. FRIENDLY LETTERS  Friendly Letters Good and Bad. On the handout, compare the two letters. Which one is a better letter and why? Make a list of Reasons why one is better than the other at your tables.

It gives the writer’s address AND the date!

This is the BODY of the letter. The body is written in paragraph form. Every paragraph is indented.

FRIENDLY LETTERS  Jimmy, Margaret’s brother, fights for his country along with many other soldiers during world war II.  Soldiers getting injured during battle is a very real aspect of war that happens.  Wounded Warriors Project is one example that shows you how far helping soldiers and recognizing them can go.
