21. www.dot.state.pa.us Bituminous Tack Coat Things to check –Tack material has been allowed to dry or set up before paving, especially on concrete. – Keep trucks from driving on the tack coat as much as possible. –Keep trucks from tracking tack into areas not tacked. –The spray pattern should be 6” – 12” wider than the paving pass.
