Cost and Conditions of Contract Reduced rate of $50/hour for nonprofits with a current operating budget of less than $500,000. ECG will not accept commissions on grants. ECG charges an upfront and nonrefundable fee of $500. ECG does not make any guarantees that a favorable funding response will be received 12/2/12 BOE ARS Grants Committee

Currently Participating In... Title I - provides tutors for remedial reading and math instruction Title II - provides funding for professional development State Textbook Program - provides funding for the purchase of textbook and other learning materials State and/or Federal grants These programs are administered through the Baltimore County Public School System No direct transfer of monetary funds. Depend on the student population Percentage of students qualifying for the Free and Reduced Breakfast and Lunch Program. 12/2/12 BOE ARS Grants Committee

Grant applied with close collaboration with Sr. Lisette Abdiruhman (High School Faculty) to support her idea of Literary Club $3,000 awarded to teachers who inspire students to write By The College Board Applied on November 21 st, 2012 Winners will be announced in January 2013, Awards will be presented at each College Board regional forum 2013 Bob Costas Grants for the Teaching of Writing Grant Applied 12/2/12 BOE ARS Grants Committee

Grants Being Considered… The standard Charitable Foundation After school, at risk, general education, Literacy Berkshire Bank Foundation College readiness, ESL, gifted and talented, volunteerism Special project grant General Education General capital grants Facility renovations, install or upgrade computer software or hardware 12/2/12 BOE ARS Grants Committee

We are lacking the innovation to qualify for larger grants! For example: American Honda Foundation $20,000 to $75,000 Youth education, specifically in the areas of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, the environment, job training and literacy Our Concern… 12/2/12 BOE ARS Grants Committee

Plan For 2013… More aggressive search Work closely with school staff to determine priorities.. Collaborate with PTSA for innovative ideas Focus on education development Build motivation within the ARS and ISB community Spread the word Encourage volunteers Consider hiring grant writing interns for administration and teacher assistance Our Commitment!!Your Contribution!! 12/2/12 BOE ARS Grants Committee
