NC54 Bypass/McCrimmon Parkway Extension Project Largest Bond-Financed Roadway Project in Town History – $14.3 Million Bond Approved By Voters in 2012 Will Extend McCrimmon Parkway from NC 54 to Aviation Parkway at Evans Road 2-Lane Section from Airport Boulevard to Aviation Parkway on 4-Lane Right-of-Way Potential to Improve Existing Intersection at McCrimmon Parkway and NC 54 By Adding Additional Westbound Lanes and Improve Railroad Crossing Engineering/Design and Permitting Under Way – Construction Expected to Start in 2016
