A Family Preparedness Plan Decide on a meeting place Make a list of emergency phone numbers Have an emergency supply kit Locate fire exits and extinguishers Take a first aid and CPR class Practice the plan

At School Ask How will schools communicate with families? Do they store enough food, water and other basic supplies? Are they prepared to “shelter- in-place?” Prepare Keep a mini version of emergency kit in backpack

Kid’s Mini Emergency Kit A small bottle of water One or two granola bars A list of emergency phone numbers Mini flashlight Bottle of hand sanitizer gel

At Work Know your company’s plan Know the exit routes, location of fire extinguishers and medical kits Have a designated post- evacuation meeting location Make a list of phone numbers Gather personal emergency supplies: flashlights, walking shoes, a water bottle and other items.

Be Aware of Surroundings Know your Neighbors Identify neighbors who need additional help and make a plan to help them in an emergency Create Neighborhood Watch group Report suspicious activities in your neighborhood to the San Diego FBI office at 858-565-1255
