7 Opportunities Increased focus on Ro Ro traffic Oil & Gas developments in Barents Sea Supporting more than just the UKCS Increasing links to Faroes and Iceland Promotion of Short Sea Shipping To put Sea Transportation higher on the Political Agenda

8 Threats Level playing fields not yet established A risk of distortion to competition due to “free money” being handed out for otherwise unviable projects

Barents development is of particular interest to NS area Better information for all interested parties should be a priority. In the final year of the first project we were still discussing how to market it!
