3 The mountain -In the north of the province. -Climate: cold and high rainfall -Flora: forests and shrubs -Fauna: wolves, bears, grouse, owls...

4 NORTH AREA -Long cold winters with frequent frosts and heavy rains. -Very short summer, dry season, cool temperatures. -Wildlife like mountain with cereal crops and irrigation.

5 LANDS OF FIELDS -Fauna: great bustard, partridge, quail, rabbit, hare, wild boar. -Flora: rainfed crops such as wheat, barley... -Climate: Winters, long cold and abundant rainfall, dry and very hot summers.

6 THE CERRATO -Fauna: hare, rabbit, otter, great bustard... -Flora: Mediterranea n forest, dry farming and irrigation. -Climate: cold winters and dry summers with high temperatures

8 Saint Martin, Frómista. It’s in Frómista, and it is de most important Romanesque church of the province. Located on ST.James’ way, it was built in the second half of the eleventh century by order of Mrs. Mayor of Castilla, as part of a monastery of San Martín, now disappeared.

10 Villalcázar de Sirga’s church It’s a temple-fortress started building in the late twelfth century, in the transition from Romanesque to Gothic, and completed in the fourteenth century. Milestone of the Way of St. James, which has been one of their most important religious centers, and linked to the Knights Templar, is of great artistic interest, the most prominent being the sculpture of the cover, proto XIII century, the collection of polychrome tombs inside, Gothic thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, and the altarpiece, Gothic fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
