10 Lesson 8 – Reacting To Sin Saul’s bad reactions 1 Sam 15 Ë BLAME SOMEONE ELSE v. 21  4 of the world’s most famous words… “IT’S NOT MY FAULT”  He wasn’t responsible…he blamed others cp. Ex 32:22

11 Lesson 8 – Reacting To Sin Saul’s bad reactions 1 Sam 15 Ì “CONFESS” TOO LATE vv. 24-28  Only after seeing the failure of his first 2 reactions did he “admit” sin  No contrition…an “admission” only to save himself 2 Cor 7:10b

12 Lesson 8 – Reacting To Sin David’s good reactions  We previously discussed his sinful deeds and inappropriate behavior [pgs. 9, 11]  Using what he was inspired to write, this lesson emphasizes his proper reactions once he repented 2 Sam 12:13

13 Lesson 8 – Reacting To Sin David’s good reactions  Psa 51 perhaps written in the aftermath of Nathan’s rebuke (in the “process” of his repentance)  Psa 32 perhaps written after gaining assurance of God’s forgiveness
