The Lord Makes Me a House: Sloth versus Diligence

He who gathers in summer is a son who acts wisely, {But} he who sleeps in harvest is a son who acts shamefully. ~ Prov. 10:5 He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, But he who pursues worthless {things} lacks sense. ~ Prov. 12:11 The hand of the diligent will rule, But the slack {hand} will be put to forced labor. ~ Prov. 12:24

He who tends the fig tree will eat its fruit, And he who cares for his master will be honored. ~ Proverbs 27:18 He who tills his land will have plenty of food, But he who follows empty {pursuits} will have poverty in plenty. ~ Proverbs 28:19 Sow your seed in the morning and do not be idle in the evening, for you do not know whether morning or evening sowing will succeed, or whether both of them alike will be good. ~ Eccles. 11:6

Moreover I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more; nor shall the sons of wickedness oppress them anymore, as previously, 11 since the time that I commanded judges to be over My people Israel, and have caused you to rest from all your enemies. Also the Lord tells you that He will make you a house ~ 2 Samuel 7:10-11
