Durham – Where Great Things Happen Round 4 Allocation Request: +6.5 mgd New Jordan Lake intake, treatment, and transmission facilities Assume online in 2025 Immediate base-load use of Durham’s full 16.5 mgd capacity to meet daily demands Meet additional demands from existing Neuse Basin sources

Minimum environmental impacts The resource already exists Additional reliability, redundancy, and flexibility for Durham and the Region Capital costs are competitive with or less than the alternatives Reduced reliance on the Upper Neuse Basin IBT nearly 3 mgd less in 2045 than today 11 mgd less in 2045 than relying solely on Durham’s Neuse Basin sources for all future needs
