3 Background of the Trust To provide education to Children ( Normal and Special ) on “non profit “ basis. To teach Children traditional values To provide place for Aged to live gracefully and in a dignified way To provide a place for prayer so that people can meet at a sacred place Vision

5 Management Trustees The entire Trust is run by reputed people who are working together for a common cause which is to: –provide education to children at subsidized cost at Roha –as well as support Aged people to live gracefully and in a dignified way H G Geevarghese Mar Coorilos Metropolitan is the founder Trustee who is leading this entire noble cause

6 Location of the Trust Site at Roha Roha is located around 111 kms from Mumbai.You make take a outstation train from Dadar – Travel time apx 2 hours. Travel Time by car from Mumbai City to Roha School is approx. 3.5 hours

8 Key Activities of the Trust We are running a School for the local children on “ Non Profit’ basis We have recognition from CBSE Currently we have around 1100 children studying in that school We have tied up with “Next education” also to provide online education for some of the topics Fees are subsidized. We charge only Rs 100 per Child. School Pictures Annual day Home Science Drawing Competition Xmas celebration Sports DayRepublic Day

9 Key Activities of the Trust Trust is running an Old Age Home We are currently taking care of senior citizens at “No Profit” basis. The old age home can accommodate around 40 number of senior citizen

11 Proposed – School for the Mentally Challenged Children There is no school for Mentally Challenged Children at Roha There are around 400 children at Roha who have intellectual disability based on the initial study done by us Why are we starting a School for the Mentally Challenged at Roha? Population of Roha is 1.5 lakh and children with disability would be 200 to 400 children

12 School will be constructed over 10,000 Sq Feet (2 Floors) with a ground for children to play Proposed Special School at Roha This is initial draft design and may undergo change after receipt of the final plan from the architect Proposed Special School Current School

13 Proposed Facilities at Special School As per government norms, we can educate only 8 children per class room Every class room would be apx 500 Sq Feet Total Area for 20 classrooms – 10000 Sq Feet One Occupational Therapy Room – 400 Sq Feet One Speech Therapy Room - 300 Sq Feet Space for Phase II Vocational Training – 1000 Sq Feet Total Built up Area would be approx. 12000 Sq Feet

16 Proposed Facilities to be made available We are planning to start the following facilities: Arrange for IQ Test for these children to understand their requirements Provide education based on their IQ Arrange for Speech Therapy so that the children can improve speech Occupational Therapy to improve their muscle/mental coordination Phase I (To be started from December 2014. School bldg to be completed by March 2016)

Phase II ( Start from June 2017) Provide Vocational Therapy like teaching them : Stitching, File Making, Bag Making etc Phase III ( Start from June 2018 ) Construct Residential School for these children who do not have Parents. Time Frame for Project Completion School being started with one class room by Jan’15 in the current existing facility. Start Donation drive from December 2014 Phase I Building to be started from April 2015 Complete Phase I of construction and start school with 10 classrooms by June 2016 Add 10 more classrooms depending on donations by June 2017 Start Phase II – Vocational Training by June 2017 Start Phase III – Residential School for some of these children by June 2018 ( Phase III cost would be approx. Rs 2.0 crores )

23 How can you Support ? You can support by donating in cash or kind for any of these items Rs 5000 for bricks, cement, construction cost Rs.10,000 for Furniture, Computers, Projectors, Occupational and Speech Therapy room Rs 1,00,000 for each class room, library etc ( Cost of one classroom is Rs 6 lacs ) Rs 50,00,000 for building construction. Each classroom, Building Wings will be named after each donor
