The Rotary Foundation Corner Ambassadorial Scholarship Program The Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship program will send in 2013. Beginning in 2013-14, The Foundation will offer scholarship opportunities through district and global grants. This new grant structure gives Rotarians greater flexibility in sponsoring the next generation of leaders. August is the Membership and Extension Month Rotary International set aside to focus on Membership. Membership development and retention are the most important elements in securing the future of Rotary and to continue the Rotary’s mission of humanitarian service. As PDG Ada mentioned during the New Members’ Induction Ceremony at the District Installation held on 13 July, RI President emphasized that the job does not end when a new member joins: “It’s not done until that new member is engaged in Rotary, inspired by Rotary, and uses the power of Rotary service to change lives”.

It should be clearly understood that classifications are determined by activities or services to society rather than by the position held by a particular individual. In other words, if a person is the president of a bank, he or she is not classified as "bank president" but under the classification "banking." The classification principle is a necessary concept in assuring that each Rotary club represents a cross section of the business and professional service of the community.
