2 In English A participle is an adjective formed from a verb. In English, you form the participle of a verb by adding –ed. It often has the same form as the past tense. My flight is confirmed. (participle) I confirmed my flight. (past tense)

3 Past participles describe a noun that has received the action of that verb. To form the past participle of a regular verb, drop the infinitive ending and add –ado to –ar verbs or –ido to an –er or –ir verb.
