As long as the official OmniClass Table 23 name appears at the beginning, what you add after is acceptable if this extra description is necessary.

Nomenclature | 10 TYPE NAME VAV Reheat 6” Brief description denoting size / capacity/type as easily identified & understood (description is based on your discretion but should at minimum include sizes or dimensions for example 2’x 2’, 6”, 8” 1.5’ x 3’, 10” etc.) “Reheat 6” ” U.S. National CAD Standards “VAV” + + If the abbreviation for a piece of equipment is not listed in the National CAD Standards, use the abbreviation used in your equipment/component schedules instead. For example, a “Fan Powered Box” would be abbreviated as “FPB”, Use abbreviations as universally understood in the industry 1 1 1 1
