Why Prioritize? This is important because you may not have enough time to do everything you want and should therefore make sure the most important tasks are finished 1 st.

Creating a Schedule A schedule is a table or chart that breaks down each day into periods Such as hours or half hours Can be made for a single day, a week, or even a greater amount of time.

Setting Goals Now that we’ve begun to look at our time management skills, it is time to set some goals about what we want to accomplish with our time.

Long-Term Goals This is what you ultimately want to achieve. Can take months or even years to complete. Examples: Graduate from high school Graduate from college Move into my own house/apartment Buy a car

How Do I Get There? What do I need to do in order to achieve the long- term goal? Which of my goals should take priority over other? How could I best use my time to move myself closer to my long-term goal?

Short-Term Goals Also known as, “Mini-goals” These goals represent steps which you can climb to reach your long-term goal
