6 1 Semester Assignment - Malin, Jovita, Cedric, Bernadette6 0 – Star Hotel 0-Star This kind of hotels can‘t be classified because there is no minimum of 5 bedrooms or the infrastructure of a 1 Star hotel can‘t be quaranteed. 0-Star ! This hotels have the infrastructure of an 1 star hotel but don^‘t fulfill the saftystandartisation of the 1 star categorie and be classified on the end of the 1 star hotels

9 1 Semester Assignment - Malin, Jovita, Cedric, Bernadette9 3 – Star Hotel - en-suite bathroom and toilet - telephone and TV in all guestrooms - access to guest PC - reception staffed during daytime - lift - no-smoking rooms. - middleclass hotel with Reception in different languages - in general, all rooms with own bathroom - comfortably rooms with own TV, Radio and Telefon - breakfast-buffet - service for middle requirement, but basicly for all needs in the reception and service sector

10 1 Semester Assignment - Malin, Jovita, Cedric, Bernadette10 4 – Star Hotel - a-la-carte restaurant in the hotel - minibar/room service - reception staffed 24 hours a day - international TV channels - at least 25% of guest rooms must have an internet connection - the hotel must offer photocopying facilities and laundry service - furnishings must meet certain comfort requirements - Firstclass hotels with reciept in different languages for informations and concierge - very comfortably rooms with firstclass equipment and quality - rich selection in the breakfast buffet

11 1 Semester Assignment - Malin, Jovita, Cedric, Bernadette11 5 – Star Hotel - pool and/or staffed gym, and/or staffed sauna with relaxation area - air conditioning - Internet connection - safety deposit box in all guest rooms - Generally luxurious fittings and furnishings - suites - luxury hotel with reciept in different languages which is aviable 24 hours - generously and elegantly ambiente with luxurious bedrooms and suites - high-quality total equipment with exclusive materials - services on the highest niveau - two different kind of selling-points, one of them a luxury restaurant

12 1 Semester Assignment - Malin, Jovita, Cedric, Bernadette12 Superior Definition Superior for 3-, 4- and 5-Star hotels Hotels with this honor are the best in their categories if we compare the equipement and mechanism. Huge comfort, best cleaning services, à-la-carte restaurant.

13 1 Semester Assignment - Malin, Jovita, Cedric, Bernadette13 Conclusion - Both systems are quite similar - Most important differences are: - Language knowledge (in Scandinavian countries everybody speaks English, no matter of age) - internet-connection and computer in rooms - in the Swiss Classification System they have a 0 and 0! –star hotel which in the Swedish system don´t exist.
