Curricular Program Performance opportunities June - Each individual Elementary School band and orchestra will present a brief program with all instrumental students of that building at an assembly within the school day.

Curricular Program Grade 5 One large, heterogeneous lesson per 6-day cycle 45-minute sessions

Curricular Program Performance opportunities June - The 5th Grade Band and the 5th Grade Orchestra will present a program to the assembled 5th grade. All 5th grade instrumentalists are involved regardless of Saturday participation. Yes, parents are invited.

Saturday School Held here at Chenery Middle School 1 hour of “like instrument” group instruction 1 hour of large ensemble rehearsal with two major performance opportunities per year

Saturday School In addition… The All-Town Chorus, as the vocal counterpart to the Saturday instrumental program, meets on Tuesdays @ Wellington School. The same fee structure applies.

What can a parent do Encourage Home Practice Provide a quiet spot. Plenty of light. A good chair and a music stand. Listen in occasionally on practice and offer encouragement.

What can a parent do Encourage Home Practice Familiarize yourself with the method book. There are pictures and charts from which a “layman” could help a child.
