The Purpose of This Policy The purpose of this policy is to assure compliance with reporting requirements of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). B. Overview The federal Civil Rights Act of 1964 requires that employers with 100 or more employees submit an EEO-1 Report (formerly titled "Employer Information Report“) with the EEOC by September 30 each year. The purpose of this report is for the federal government to gather information about the sexual, ethnic and racial makeup of each employer's work force.
