Dresses for Little Girls “Let the little children come to me.” Matthew 19:14
2
Jesus said: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
3
Jesus said: "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. "Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. “Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Mat 5:3-12 ESV)

We are the body of Christ, each with different functions, but we work together with one purpose.
5
The LWML group called Helping Hands at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Aurora, gets together every first Tuesday of the month to make little dresses for girls out of used pillow cases. I have had the honor of carrying these gifts to the girls who live in the garbage dump of Zacapa, Guatemala. We are the body of Christ with different functions which we demonstrate with the gifts God has given us. To him be the glory and not to us.
6
If you have any old pillow cases that are in good condition you too can help clothe a child in Guatemala or other part of the world by donating it to our congregation. Pray for these children. We cannot solve all the problems in the world, but we can each do a part and together we will do much.
