4 What is Safe Church? Safe Church replaces the 1993 PCV policy known as ‘Breaking The Silence’

5 What is Safe Church? Safe Church aims to ensure the Policy and Code of Conduct are embedded in the life and ministry of the PCV

6 What is Safe Church? It does this by providing... A contact point for queries and issues Regular training sessions Well defined policy, practice and procedures

7 What is Safe Church? Safe Church applies to... Everyone who works with children under 18 Everyone in a position of authority or leadership

8 What is Safe Church Basic Training?

9 Basic Training covers everything you need to know about the Safe Church Policy and Code of Conduct

10 Basic training is... Offered to all presbyteries in 2015 Required, every 3 years, for people in leadership and working with children under 18 About 3 hours in length What is Safe Church Basic Training?
