Scientifically-Based Research Required to use proven programs, practices and methods. (Web-based list of approved programs) Defined as the application of rigorous, systematic, and objective procedures to obtain reliable and valid knowledge relevant to educational activities and programs. Approved waivers are required for programs not on the list of programs supported by science-based research (web page)

No Substantial Changes If there are no substantial changes from the previous year and you do not have an approved waiver then check the continuation box and submit suspension data. If there are no substantial changes from the previous year and you have an approved waiver then check the continuation box, check the waiver box, submit a new waiver request which includes evaluation data for the previous year’s approved waiver, and submit suspension data.

Parent and community- wide involvement Professional development related to drug and violence prevention ( teachers, administrators and other staff) Expanded and improved mental health services provided by qualified staff (certified mental health professionals)
