IP2.16.5 Attract and repel – forces between charged objects © Oxford University Press 2011 When two electrically charged bodies are brought together they exert a force on each other. If the two bodies have the same type of charge (both positive or both negative) they will repel each other. If the two bodies have different types of charge (one positive and the other negative) they will attract each other.
