1. The Media Center provides for the production of educational materials for all teachers to use with their students. Resources are funded by the Iberia Parish School Board.

2. The Media Center is located within the Iberia Parish Educational Center at 1204 LeMaire St. in New Iberia directly behind Magnolia Elementary School.

5. To make spirit masters or transparencies that are allowed by the copyright law. Thermal masters are limited to thirty (30) per teacher per year. Transparencies are unlimited.

6. Three ditto machines are available. Ditto paper is limited to one case (5) packs per year. Be mindful that the thermals and ditto paper serve to supplement what is distributed at each school.

7. The opaque projector is available to enlarge pictures. Poster board is provided for teachers who want to use the opaque projector. There is no limit on poster board, as long as it is used for production with the opaque projector in the Media Center. A limited supply of markers and glue is provided for this purpose.

8. We have two (2) Ellison Die Cut machines and an Accu- Cut roller machine, along with a variety of dies to use for creating shapes, letters and numbers. Construction paper is available for this purpose only.

10. Button designs are available in a wide variety. These buttons may be made by teachers themselves or parent volunteers who have been trained to use the machine. Time on the button machine may also be scheduled. Buttons are limited to 100 per teacher per school year.

11. Rolls of various colors of craft bulletin board paper in widths of 3 feet are available. Because certain colors are more popular in certain seasons, such as red at Christmas, there is a limit of 20 feet per person per visit.

12. Teachers are asked to sign in when using the Media Center. In addition, they are asked to log the number of buttons, posters, thermals and packs of paper used in the Media Center. Teachers who are interested in reserving a machine may call Susan Garcia or Mary Valsin at 364-7641 or sign up in the Media Center. Otherwise, the machines will be used on a first- come basis. Children are not allowed to use any of the machines in the Media Center. This safety precaution is necessary for their protection. If you are not familiar with the use of any of the machines, please ask for assistance.
