To protect yourself and equipment, never tamper with or remove any power cords or cables (including mouse and keyboard) To safeguard yourself and equipment, never insert a foreign object into a disk drive or any other part of the computer.

To protect your self and equipment, never attempt to restart or reset equipment without permission. Never hit a machine, smash a mouse, or abuse a button or key. Never tamper with or attempt to disrupt a computer’s operating system.

Never attempt to use someone else’s password to access the site network or internet. Never give out personal information over the internet. Print only with permission from the teacher.

Position keyboards to prevent bumping or dropping them off the work surface. Avoid blocking air vents to prevent overheating. No food or drinks near the computers.

DO NOT open the computer’s power supply or monitor. This could cause serious injury to you or others. Always shut down the computer via Window’s start button.

Make sure you are aware of the School’s Acceptable Use Policy. Student’s will avoid internet sites with inappropriate content. Student’s will not access the computer’s control panel.

Please let the instructor know if the color scheme, font size, or other settings of your computer are causing strain on your eyes. Periodically glance away from the screen. Staring into a computer monitor too long will strain your eyes.

Maintain good posture to ease your back. Be aware of the fire exists and the location of the room’s fire extinguishers.
