Project Specifics Alternatives fully explored 2 phases to adequately address the problem Completely solving the issue = $835,817.00 Phase I (FY14): -Construction of 4,600 linear feet of main trunk line -12 new manholes -New duplex lift station -$436,000.00

Survey Methodology Universe of 437 occupied households within the city (U.S. Census 2010) = 250 surveys needed Randomly started within the city limits Skipped every third house If no one was home, survey left at door Repeat attempts to survey those selected houses were made If unit was vacant, the next occupied house was surveyed Guide to Acceptable Survey Methodology was used to extrapolate total number of residents, low-moderate income residents, and minority residents

Survey Tips Use the help of local government employees Be sure to include demographic questions Ask appropriate questions for better local information Leave a comment section If resident is hesitant, explain their help is needed and tell how the project will benefit the area

Things to Consider The Numbers – Should be checked and rechecked – Not just budget – houses, beneficiaries, engineering/architecture fees – Should be the same on every form Documentation – Not only citizen support and pictures – Letters of Support with specific match/leverage amounts – These amounts should be attainable and easily documented when completed
