Life Events allows a user to upload a document to provide proof that the life event has occurred. This would be a birth certificate, Marriage certificate or perhaps a divorce decree. You can configure this process to require Benefits Administrator approval before the employee is allowed to enroll in benefits. We added on to this functionality to allow the Benefits Administrator to create a delegation process allowing them to setup a Proxy to approve or deny the request in the event they are out of the office for the day. Enterprise Learning Management
Delivered in Update Image6 Find Learning Find Learning An integral part of the solution is Find Learning. Learners can quickly search for learning using simple keyword search and further refine their results to quickly pinpoint the learning to enroll or launch. Learners can use Find Learning to search the catalog for classes, courses, and programs that meet their selection criteria. Enterprise Learning Management provides two options for searching the catalog: • Basic search, for searching by keywords • Advanced search, for filtering classes and programs using multiple selection criteria For basic searches, users can search by keyword using the Search by Keyword field. For advanced searches, they can search on a number of different criteria. When a user performs an advanced search, the system looks for learning that meets all of the selection criteria. Enhancements to Find Learning will improve the search results. Find Learning search results will not return and display classes that are “Enrollment Closed” whether the classes are in the past, present, or future. All facets for Find Learning will count by classes to pinpoint the search results based on facet drilldown. The solution will provide additional usability enhancements to Find Learning with modal windows for start date and multiple locations to display important information about the class sessions and locations. Time and Labor Dashboard
Delivered in Update Image 5 The Dashboard is made up of many configurable pagelets Approvals: Reported Time, Payable Time, Absence Requests, Overtime Requests Links Analytics: Payable Time, Schedule Deviation The Time and Labor Dashboard is different from the WorkCenter in that this dashboard is specific to what a typical manager needs to do their job. The WorkCenter is all encompassing. That is typically used by Super Users and Administrators. What is one of a manager’s highest priority business processes when it comes to T&L? Probably to approve time, either Reported or Payable, and requests, such as Absence requests and overtime requests. All of these approvals can be done from the Dashboard. Controlling labor costs is another important business process and in the past a manager would typically have to wait until the Time Administration process ran to see the results. Now with Real Time Rule processing in 9.2, the manager has the analytics to see where their labor hours/dollars are going. The Payable Time analytic shows, in graph form, where those hours have been spent. The analytic gives the ability to drill down all the way to the employee level to see the details. The Schedule Deviation analytic shows where employees are not adhering to their schedules thus potentially incurring overtime or other premium payments that may not be desirable to the company. In addition to the Approval pagelets and analytics there are quick links to take the user to commonly used pages like the Timesheet, Payable Time Summary, Detail pages, etc. And more analytics are on their way. One last thing to note is that although the Dashboard is packaged with Labor Rules and Monitoring, which we will be discussing shortly, the Dashboard is also available to base Time and Labor customers.

In Memory Labor Rules and Monitoring
Delivered in Update Image 5 Just released this past January – In Memory Labor Rules and Monitoring (aka LRM) Companies are struggling to control labor costs. It now falls on the Managers to control Overtime, reduce costs, and do more with less. The managers also have to comply with legal constraints either from Federal, State, or local authorities or Union or Bargaining Units or even HR policy administrators to make sure employees are paid correctly. LRM gives clients, for the first time, proactive tools to assist in reducing labor costs. Time and Labor is no longer just a time capturing application anymore. Organizations will get their labor data results faster with an optimized solution on Exadata and Exalogic. This solution will enable them to better understand the true costs related to excessive work hours, unplanned absences, schedule deviations, and time exceptions and to quickly correct any issues. LRM is made up of several pieces: Exadata hardware, Oracle Policy Automation, both which are part of the LRM license, and the Dashboard which is part of T&L 9.2. With these tools a client can improve performance with Exadata. The policy administrators can view and use delivered rules as well as create and change rules using OPA. The manager can, with the dashboard, do their job on one page. This includes approving time and absences as well as reviewing the delivered analytics to proactively view and control labor costs. Let’s look at some of the advantages of the LRM components: Exadata/Exalogic Reduction in business process time (both online and batch). NOT just for T&L but for all processes. Assists in Real time rules processing High capacity - Support more concurrent PeopleSoft users Leverage D-RAM and Flash Memory – Oracle’s Policy Automation takes full advantage of this. Uses Oracle Virtual Machine (VM) Templates - Faster deployment, easier patching, and better scaling. Exadata and Exalogic provide a complete "Private Cloud in a box" platform that is ideal for consolidating mission critical enterprise applications. PeopleSoft HCM users will not only see major benefits in Time and Labor, but across the entire suite in areas such as self-service response times and payroll processing. Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) integrated with T&L Easily create and maintain rules Visualization of rules Test scripts and validation Regression testing What-if Analysis Time and Labor Dashboard Real time analytics One stop shop to do business processes Accelerate business processes Execute real time rules Scale and reduce costs Model and deploy natural language based rules Leverage OPA integration with PeopleSoft Time and Labor Use Overtime pre-delivered rules Manage time, approval and exceptions efficiently Get visibility into current workforce situation Proactively take action

Planning & Analysis New analysis role that keeps up with the new enhancements that are being delivered Develop an adoption plan, identify enhancement priorities and plan implementations Each fix can be analyzed for severity, effect, and importance for the organization Adopt a different “get current” plan. Planning and Analysis PeopleSoft continues to recommend getting current every two to three years. There are several different ways to approach this. It can be done all at once or the business applications can be staggered so different parts of the applications are brought current each year. The longer an application goes without getting current, the more difficult maintenance and new enhancements will be to apply.
18
Engineering Adopt a calendar that has you implementing new enhancements on a periodic basis Test Quicker - Leverage PeopleSoft Lifecycle Management tools Minimize Risk - Apply critical changes on a regular basis, leveraging the dependency calculations Engineering Having standard enhancement uptake cycles lets everyone in the organization be aware and plan for new business functionality. This is new to organizations that are used to a three-year major upgrade cycle. Usage Monitor helps analysts determine the parts of the system their organization uses, and that information is used to determine effect. PeopleSoft Test Framework is an automation testing tool that can significantly reduce the time required to system test applied maintenance and new features. Staying current on critical changes will prevent critical issues from surfacing. 3 Year Upgrade
