2  Music has changed a lot since the time of the rock ‘n’ roll, now evolving into pop.  Music is similar to things like fashion as it changes throughout the generations as different trends pass.  Today, music is a large part of most people’s lives  Pop is one of the most successful Australian musical exports. 3  iTunes, YouTube and other social medias have a large influence of how todays music evolves.  For example, when a song reaches #1 on the iTunes charts, many people buy the song. This is compared to in the early 2000s when most of these medias were not around.  iPOds, MP3s, phones have also had a huge influence Influences

4  Popular Aboriginal artist  Pop artist  There are not many Aboriginal pop singers in Australia – therefore meaning there is not many of her kind  She was the first native Australian to sing at the EuroVision contest.  She starred in the movie The Sapphires  Started her career in 2004 at the Tamworth Country Music Festival Jessica Mauboy

5  Australian artist  Delta Goodrems`s album, Innocent Eyes, it was the highest selling album in Australia from 2000-2009.  Sold 6 million albums worldwide – multi-platinum  Stars as a judge in the reality TV show ‘The Voice.’ Delta Goodrem

7  It is not only Australian music artists who have been popular since the early 2000s.  The boy band One Direction (British band) has been extremely popular in Australia as well.  Another artist which was also popular is Taylor Swift (United States of America).  Prior to the 2000s, many popular music groups were from overseas such as the Beatles and INXS. 8  Music has changed since the 1950s from rock ‘n’ roll to pop  There have been many different influences which change the way music is produced such as iTunes and iPods.  Singers like Jessica Mauboy and Delta Goodrem have made a significant contribution to the music world.  Overseas influence has also played a huge part in Australia`s music industry.
