2  This is a requirement of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).  Districts receiving Title I ARRA will need to report 2008-09 state and local expenditure data for all K-12 schools within the district regardless of the school’s Title I status.  Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), this PowerPoint, and other resources are available at http://dpi.wi.gov/titleone/arra_reporting.html. http://dpi.wi.gov/titleone/arra_reporting.html

3  All Title I, Part A ARRA grant recipients must report school-level expenditure data.  Districts are required to report 2008-09 expenditure data.  DPI will collect this data from districts using a report survey.  Districts should exclude expenses for 4K and preschools.

4  DPI will email the report survey to district administrators on February 1, 2010.  Districts must submit all data to DPI by March 1, 2010.

5  View the webinar and read the FAQ.  Complete the School-Level Expenditure Workbook.  Use the data from the summary page of the workbook to complete the survey.  Submit the survey to DPI.

6 The School-Level Expenditures Report consists of three sections:  School-level expenditures,  Checklist identifying which expenditures were included, excluded, or not applicable, and  Average number of hours per school/district needed to report this data.

7 1) Personnel salaries at the school level for all school-level instruction and support staff ◦ Instruction  Teachers and instructional aides ◦ Support services – pupils  Guidance counselors, nurses, attendance officers, speech pathologists, and other staff who provide support services for students

8 ◦ Support services – instructional staff  Staff involved in curriculum development, staff training, operating the library, and media and computer centers ◦ Support services – school administration  Principals and other staff involved in school administration

9 2) Personnel salaries at the school level for instructional staff only 3) Personnel salaries at the school level for teachers only

10 4) Non-Personnel expenditures at the school level (if available) Professional development for teachers and other staff, instructional materials and supplies, computers, software, and other technology, contracted services such as distance learning services, library books, and media center learning materials

21  This worksheet identifies the payroll expenditure data for district teachers only.  The appropriate WUFAR codes are listed and only the expenditure data for these Fund/Object/Function codes should be reported.  Complete this worksheet first.

22  This worksheet identifies payroll costs for staff who provide support services for students including: ◦ Guidance counselors; ◦ Nurses; ◦ Attendance officers; ◦ Speech pathologists, and ◦ Other staff who provide support services to students.  This worksheet compiles the expenditure data for the WUFAR codes identified.

26  Non-personnel expenditures should be reported by school if this information is available at the school level.  If this is not available, enter zeros for this data.

27  This worksheet summarizes all of the data that has been entered in the prior five worksheets.  Print a copy of this worksheet to use when entering the data into the online survey.
