2 Initial Discussion—what do you know? Who has watch the weather reports on television. Has anyone ever heard the weather person talk about Highs and Lows? Sometimes they are talking about temperature, but there something else that meteorologists measure regarding the weather, putting H for high and L for low on the weather maps. What are these highs and lows? Write down five things you know about warm and cold fronts.

4 Are the High and Low pressure locations similar to your interpretations ?

5 Where are the temperature changes?

6 Radar Precipitation Map

7 Examine the fronts. What weather would you predict for Houston, Minneapolis, and Denver? Why?  Houston  Minneapolis  Denver
