Trim Control The Trim control sets the gain of the input amplifier for the MIC and Line inputs. Proper setting of the TRIM control is essential for good noise and headroom Performance. Trim pot settings may vary widely depending on the input level. The output of different keyboards, guitar effects boxes, etc. vary from extremely weak to so hot they can practically be connected directly to speakers The FLIP switch only comes into play for recording applications. In our Live PA application ALWAYS LEAVE THE FLIP UP.

Aux Send (Individual Channel Output) M1 - Main Front of Stage Monitors “Auxiliary sends” (outputs) are generally used to provide mixes for monitors, headphones, and effects. Our board provides 6 mono auxiliary sends with several routing options. FBC only uses 4 of the 6. All auxiliary sends go through the main Auxiliary send controls at the top of the Master Section (physically located at the same height on the board as the channel Auxilliary send controls, just in the Master Section) M2 - Drum Monitor (Sometimes Headphones) M3 – Hot spots – Usually near Keyboards Channel Send to the Reverb Effect Box Shift Switch – Reassign last two pots to send 5 & 6 – FBC never uses this. This Switch should always be up. Pre Fader Switch for Aux 1 & 2 -Down = Channel out is before main fader - Up = Channel out is after main fader Pre Fader Switch for Aux 3-5 & 4-6 Down = Channel out is before main fader Up = Channel out is after main fader The SOURCE switch only comes into play for recording applications. In our Live PA application ALWAYS LEAVE SOURCE UP.

Channel Equalization Section This board has a four 4 band equalizer for each Channel. HI, HI MID, LO MID, and LO. The HI and LOW bands have simple Gain (aka Level, Volume, Amplitude) controls (HI 12K Hz and LO = 80 Hz) The LO MID has a Gain and “center frequency” control. (45Hz to 3K Hz) The HI MID (where most audible sound is) has a “Full parametric” control set including a Gain, “center frequency” and “band width” control. (500 Hz to 18K Hz)

Channel Equalization Section The EQ IN and LOW CUT SHOULD ALWAYS BE IN (DOWN) (Except for the Bass Guitar and Drum). The HI band has a simple Gain control (HI 12K Hz) The LO MID has a Gain and “center frequency” control. (45Hz to 3K Hz) The HI MID (where most audible sound is) has a “Full parametric” control set including a Gain,“center frequency” and “band width” control. (500 Hz to 18K Hz) The LOW band has simple Gain control (LO = 80 Hz)

Main Fader and Assignment Main Fader – Send Channel Signal to Master Section based on the Assignment button and Pan Knob positions. Assignment Switches send channel signal to Master Section (Sub Groups) – L/R Mix Assignment is safest and bypasses Sub Groups L/R Mix assignment sends channel signal to Board Master Fader and bypasses ALL Sub Groups Pan Knob is used when channel is assigned to A Sub Group. If panned to left signal goes to Lower Numbered Subgroup (e.g., 1). If panned to right signal goes to Higher Numbered Subgroup (e.g., 2) Solo Button – use to listen To this Channel ALONE with Head Phones MUTE Button – Mute signal from going To the Master Section (WARNING – Remember how Pre-Fader on Aux effects MUTE!
