Champs are volunteers or appointed “leaders” at your company who promote the Vitality wellness program and help their fellow co-workers engage in the program. A Champ can be someone who is already fit and healthy or someone who is in the process of changing his/her lifestyle from unhealthy to healthy and wants to share their motivation to change. All Champs share a common goal: to ignite and maintain a culture of wellness at his/her worksite.

He/she communicates, organizes, and participates in activities such as: Athletic events such as corporate 5k Health Fairs and monthly messages Monthly Vitality teleconferences Event calendars Site Champs assist Lead Champs with activities and encourage participation in the program cultivating a culture of wellness throughout their site.

Vitality Champs are active members of the Vitality program. They also participate in a Vitality training program session to help prepare them to: Answer fellow employees’ questions about Vitality Organize, communicate, and lead activities such as Group walk/runs Campaign and contests Personally encourage others to participate in the Vitality program Gather testimonials from employees who have had a positive experience with the Vitality program “It is definitely worth it to join the program and get into watching your Vitality Points and doing things to increase your [points]. The reward items are not junk. They are really useful items that you would not necessarily purchase for yourself.” –- Celia Parrill “I’ve lost weight and body fat. Executive support: A Champ needs to know that their boss not only permits, but supports, encourages, and appreciates the work a Champ does to foster a culture of wellness at the workplace. Resources: Vitality provides Champs with materials to help them promote the Vitality program. Champs also need access to resources, such as color printers, bulletin boards, email addresses, etc., to help them communicate their message.

Positive change: Vitality Champs have the opportunity to help others reach their wellness goals while contributing to the overall wellbeing and success of the company. Personal Development: Being a Vitality Champ helps to develop and grow skills in: Public speaking Teamwork Leadership Creativity Networking And more!

Timelines: During the monthly calls and in conjunction with planning activities, Champs work with the Vitality rep to set goals and plan timelines.

Proprietary and confidential: Not for use or disclosure outside The Vitality Group and its clients. www.PowerofVitality.com 13 Submitting Events Employer Sponsored Events will be submitted through VIP – Vitality Information Portal All you will need is the following information to award points: Employee ID or Vitality ID Whether the member is an Employee or Spouse The Code for the event (these are listed on the Employer Portal) The date that the event takes place First Name and Last Name of Member are optional

The team with the highest average number of points over the challenge period wins. Vitality Steps Challenge: Participants log their steps with an approved device. The team with the highest daily average number of steps over the challenge period wins. Vitality Health Review (VHR) Challenge: The team with the highest percentage of completed VHRs during the challenge period wins. Vitality Physical Activity Review (PAR) Challenge: The team with the highest percentage of completed PARs during the challenge period wins. Vitality Mental Well-being Review Challenge: The team with the highest percentage of completed reviews (one review per person) during the challenge period wins. Vitality Nutrition Course Challenge: The team with the highest percentage of completed courses (one course per person) during the challenge period wins.
