You have the power to choose. It’s up to YOU.  Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.  The distance between success and failure can only be measured by one’s desire.  In order to succeed, you must know what you are doing, like what you are doing, and believe in what you are doing.  Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass… it’s about learning to dance in the rain.

Keep Believing in Yourself and Your Special Dreams Deanna Beisser There may be days when you get up in the morning And things aren’t the way you had thought/hoped/believed they would be. That’s when you have to tell yourself that things will get better/worse. There are times when people disappoint you and let you down, But those are the times when you must tell/remind yourself To trust your own judgments and opinions, To keep your life focused/concentrated on believing in yourself And all that you are capable of….. There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life, And it is up to you to reject/accept them. Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you. It may not be easy at times, but in those times of battle/fight/struggle You find a stronger sense of who you are, And you will also see yourself maturing/developing/growing into the person You have always wanted to be. Life is a journey/trip/excursion through time, filled with many choices; Each of us will experience life in our own special way. So when the days come that are filled with disappointment/frustration/disillusion and Unexpected responsibilities, remember to believe in yourself And all you wish/want life to be, because the challenges and changes Will only help you find the dreams that you know Are meant to come truth/true for you.

Excuses Change of mind

Goal: To be a professional skateboarder I must practise on a daily basis; learn specific tricks, experiment, take lessons, read books on professional skateboarders. Dream: It’s good to be a professional skateboarder The difference between a dream and a goal.

*CHART THE OBSTACLES FOR ACHIEVING THE GOAL. ESTABLISH YOUR OWN “PERSONAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS”( people whose wisdom, knowledge and character will help you achieve your goals). Four Steps to Writing a Goal: *WRITE THE GOAL. This crystallizes them and gives them more force. * OUTLINE THE SPECIFIC STEPS TO ACHIEVE THE GOAL. Proper planning prevents poor performance. *TIME FRAME. Write an approximate deadline for achieving the goal.

SMART Goals: A useful way of making goals more powerful is to use the SMART mnemonic. SMART usually stands for: S Specific M M easurable A Attainable R Relevant T Time-bound Obviously, this will only be attainable if a lot of preparation has been completed beforehand! “To sail around the world” “To have completed my trip around the world by December 31, 2015”

Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.

What is common about these people?

Match a portrait and a description with the name. Franklin D. Roosevelt ; Lord Byron; Helen Keller ; Stephen Hawkings

Franklin D. Roosevelt Roosevelt had Polio, was governor of New York State, then elected President of the United States for 4 terms. Helen Keller (Devoted Life to Persons with Disabilities) She was Blind, Deaf, and Mute Lord Byron Britain's great romantic was also born with a club foot. It is said that he "walked with difficulty but wandered at will". He toured Europe extensively and captured the popular imagination through his poetry and his personality. Stephen Hawkings Physicist/mathematician has Lou Gehrigs Disease and is in a wheelchair. He needs a computer to speak.

From life without limbs to life without limits! Nicholas Vujicic Nicholas Vujicic was born in 1982 in Melbourne, Australia. He came into the world with neither arms or legs. As Nick grew up he learnt to deal with his disability and started to be able to do more and more things on his own. In grade seven Nick was elected captain of his school and worked with the student council there on various fund-raising events for local charities and disability campaigns. After school Nick went on with further study and obtained a double bachelor degree majoring in accounting and financial planning. By the age of 19 Nick started to fulfill his dream of being able to encourage other people and bring them hope, through motivational speaking and telling his story. He challenges each person he meets to make changes in their lives so that they can begin the path to fulfilling their biggest dreams. He has also told his story and been interviewed on various televised programs worldwide. This year alone Nick is set to speak in over 20 countries. Nick shares with his audiences the importance of vision and dreaming big. Nick shows through his own life that the major keys in fulfilling our biggest dreams are persistence and choosing to embrace failure as a learning experience, rather than allowing the guilt and fear of failure to paralyze us. Nick has traveled around the world, sharing his story with millions of people, speaking to a range of different groups such as students, teachers, youth, business men and women, entrepreneurs, and church congregations of all sizes.

Chris Rice, “Life Means So Much” Every day is a journal page Every man holds a quill and ink And there's plenty of room for writing in All we do and believe and think So will you compose a curse Or will today bring the blessings Fill the pages with rhyming verse Or some random sketchings (chorus) Teach us to count the days Teach us to make the days count Lead us in better ways Somehow our souls forgot Life means so much, Life means so much, Life means so much

Chris Rice, “Life Means So Much” Every day is a bank account And time is our currency So no one's rich, nobody's poor We get twenty four hours each So how are you gonna spend Will you invest or squander Try to get ahead Or help someone who's under (Chorus) Has anybody lived who knew the value of a life? And didn't he give his own to show the worth of yours and mine? Every day is a gift you've been given Make the most of the time every minute you're living.

Success comes before work only in the dictionary. Don't confuse fame with success. Madonna is one; Helen Keller is the other. You were born an original. Don't die a copy.
