King Henry was born on June 28,1491 and died at the age of 55 on January 28,1547.

Henry lived in many royal homes in London including the Tower of London, the Palace of Westminster and Baynard's Castle. Henry also took over Hampton Court in 1528.

England was Roman Catholic, and divorcing was a sin. When Henry wanted to divorce his 1 st wife, Catherine, the pope refused, so in 1534 he made the Anglican Church, which is a form of Protestantism, with himself as head. In 1539, he gave permission to print out the 1 st English bible, known as “The Great Bible”, and demanded that every church in England owned one.
