4 3 New Packaging & List Prices  IDS Enterprise Edition Unlimited $35,000 per CPU  IDS Enterprise Edition $1,500 per Concurrent Session (10 CS packs)  IDS Workgroup Edition Limited to 2 CPUs & Some Feature Restrictions $1,000 per server (including 1 Concurrent Session) $300 for every additional Concurrent Session

5 4 Product Life Cycle Currently support the following versions of IDS as follows  7.24 (Time & Materials Patches)  7.30 (T&M Patches)  7.31 (FIXPACKS)  9.20 (Patches until 6/30/2002 then T&M Patches)  9.21 (Patches)  9.30 (FIXPACKS)

6 5 Product Lifecycle Continued  Continuing to use the Informix PLC for the short-term  Will be converting to the IBM PLC over time  Major difference is that IBM pre-announces the EOL date for each version at GA  The Informix model was very fluid  IDS 7.31 – We are committed to supporting 7.31 through 12/31/2005.  IDS 9.x – We are committed to supporting 9 for the long-haul. Individual releases will have EOL dates assigned later this year.

7 6 Platform Lifecyles  What drives the platform roadmap? Vendor Roadmaps –We will support a version of IDS on a specific platform until Vendor EOL or IDS EOL whichever comes first Industry Consolidation – OS’s are going away –Many vendors are/have moved to Windows or Linux Complexity Issue –Our strategy is to support at most 2 major releases of an OS –Important that you stay current

13 12 IDS 9.50 & 9.60 Planning is Underway  We have begun planning for the next 2 releases beyond IDS 9.40  We need & value your input  We will work with the IIUG to gather input during the planning of these releases
