Good Grammar Continued… Voice – Who is telling the story? – a review 1 st person is my point of view  It can by singular or plural  Singular pronouns are: I, me, my, mine  Plural pronouns are: we, us, our, ours 2 nd person is your point of view  Singular and plural use the same pronouns  They are: you, your, yours 3 rd person is the most common voice and traditional for academic writing  Singular contains gender specific pronouns: he, him, his, she, her, hers, it, and its.  Plural 3 rd person pronouns are just they, them, their and theirs. Which should you use from now on for academic papers?
