Building on the Rock Ministry Is ministry confined to ministers?
11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4 Look at this passage: Try to work out what kinds of roles Christian leaders have? What is the purpose of Church leadership? What are some of the results of Christian ministry?

Building on the Rock Ministry Matthew 25
31"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

Building on the Rock Ministry Discussion questions in groups
Look at Matthew What two types of animal are mentioned? Is Jesus talking about agriculture? Who are the goats and who are sheep? When is this parable set – the past the present or the future? What do the goats not do and what do the sheep do? How do you know that someone has been changed by Jesus?
