Are you reliant on NWS products for weather planning / decision making? Answer - Absolutely

What is the best method of getting data from the vessel to NOAA? Answer – At this time Inmarsat C and email are probably the most widely used and cheapest, but that will change as marine Broadband becomes more cost effective.

AMVERSEAS vs. Turbowin I have never used Turbowin so I can’t compare the two products

Products Requests and Capabilities: ◦ Better long range forecasts out to 7 days ◦ 96 hour forecast map should be available twice daily ◦ Simpler email string for Hurricane Forecast discussion text via email

Products Requests and Capabilities: ◦ Current Email request capability is extremely useful. Would also like the option to “sign up” for specific maps and text messages that we would like to receive on a reocuring basis ◦ Work more closely with Maritime Academies and Training Schools
