NOZZLE SELECTION TRAining CEntre
4
NOZZLE SELECTION Nozzle with needle valve can also be used (in this case you have a light increase of the pressure on the return line). 2) Types with needle valve: BERGONZO type B3 - AA Select the nozzle, with a delivery rating slightly higher than effectively required, Angles of 45° - 50° are normally recommended. For narrow combustion chambers, use nozzles with angles of 30° - 35°. 1) Types without needle valve: BERGONZO type B3 - SA

TRAining CEntre NOZZLE SELECTION We need 400 kg/h
7
GAS TRAIN SELECTION TRAining CEntre
8
GAS TRAIN SELECTION YOU MUST SELECT THE GAS TRAIN CAREFULLY IN ORDER TO HAVE CORRECT PRESSURE LOSSES Gas pressure at the combustion head Boiler back-pressure + Gas train pressure losses + Gas supply line pressure losses + The sum must be less than the available gas pressure =
9
TRAining CEntre GAS TRAIN SELECTION Head gas pressure with 0 mbar into the combustion chamber

TRAining CEntre COMBUSTION HEAD SETTING output Combustion head stroke - notches 6,5 1
16
TRAining CEntre COMBUSTION HEAD SETTING Notches scale Index plane 1 notch with servomotor at 0°
17
TRAining CEntre COMBUSTION HEAD SETTING to set the head at notch 1 with servomotor at 0°, proceed as follows Loosen the two nuts and turn Hexagonal sleeve Until 1 notch is read here
18
TRAining CEntre COMBUSTION HEAD SETTING 6,5 notches with servomotor at 130°
19
TRAining CEntre COMBUSTION HEAD SETTING If a shorter stroke is required, then: This shortens the stroke at the max by about 20 mm (about 4 notches) If this is not enough... Loosen the nut and move it up Return with servomotor to 0° position Then re-adjust the sleeve to the minimum position at notch 1 And then come back at 130° to verify the 6,5 notch position If the setting is not yet achieve repete all the procedures again
20
TRAining CEntre COMBUSTION HEAD SETTING We must set the head eccentric system differently, to reduce eccentricity Loosen the two allen screws And push up the wheel to reduce eccentricity
21
TRAining CEntre COMBUSTION HEAD SETTING Eccentric cam Combustion head/eccentric system link
22
TRAining CEntre COMBUSTION HEAD SETTING Summary: If you want change the head stroke, there are 3 different possible settings: 1st - min set position (servomotor at 0°) 2nd - max set position (servomotor at 130°) The burner comes set for the max output and 3rd - max set position (servomotor at 130°)

OIL PRESSURE SETTING : TRAining CEntre Pressure regulator Burner Start up (servomotor at 20°) Loosen the nat Turn the calibration nat to right or left to achieve the min desire oil return pressure The eccentric system has not influence on the oil pressure
31
OIL PRESSURE SETTING : TRAining CEntre 17 Max return pressure
32
OIL PRESSURE SETTING : TRAining CEntre Pressure regulator Burner Max output (servomotor at 130°) Loosen the allen screws With the allen wrench set the eccentricity up to the require return oil pressure. The eccentric cam has the max influence on the oil pressure

We must set the air cam after having set the max and min oil pressure and the combustion head stroke TRAining CEntre AIR QUANTITY SETTING With the burner on, remove voltage from the servomotor, detaching the fast-on pin located on the electrical control panel, and release movement by pressing on release device on the servomotor. Then...
38
TRAining CEntre AIR QUANTITY SETTING Through the adjustment screws set the correct air quantity, first at the max, after at the min and then in-between positions Remember to create an uniform curve profile of the cam
39
TRAining CEntre AIR QUANTITY SETTING When the burner is set for a low out-put the air cam profile could be to much close. To avoid this ….. Remove the nat Unscrew the sleeve to obtain a longer linkage Re-set the cam profile to achive the zero air damper position with servomotor at 0°
40
GAS QUANTITY SETTING mechanical cam profile TRAining CEntre
41
GAS QUANTITY SETTING TRAining CEntre At the last we must adapt the gas quantity to the air quantity set for the light oil quantity We start to set the burner from the max position with servomotor at 130° and with the gas butterfly completely open notch 90° We must adjust the max gas quantity working on the gas train
42
GAS QUANTITY SETTING TRAining CEntre filter Pressure regulator valves Set the adjustable screw around 3 of its 5 turns Set the gas pressure up to the gas diagram value required or thruogh the gas analizer set the system up to the correct emissions value
43
GAS QUANTITY SETTING TRAining CEntre Then through the mechanical cam adjust in-between positions up to the min Gas cam Link to the gas butterfly
44
GAS QUANTITY SETTING TRAining CEntre Link to the gas butterfly Butterfly position index Burner gas train flange attach Gas butterfly External setting gas device
45
GAS QUANTITY SETTING TRAining CEntre If after having opened completely the gas profile cam the start gas quantity is not yet enough, it is possible increase it through an external gas setting device. External device index lockscrew Scale: 0 = close 2 = max open
46
GAS QUANTITY SETTING TRAining CEntre When we open or close this section we increase or reduce the start gas quantity Small gas damper moveable by external device
