To host or learn more, please contact Jeff Jewett (jjewett@pingry.org ) or Yi Hao (yhao@pingry.org) These 10 th grade students from our sister school in Quzhou, China are coming to Pingry from February 19 – March 3, 2015, and we need your help in hosting them. Have a cultural exchange without leaving your home and be an ambassador of American culture and generosity! Our guests are fluent in English and are eager to experience American culture. There is no need for anyone in your family to speak Mandarin. We are particularly seeking Upper School families to host, but are open to all interested families. Host a Chinese student in your home! Hosts provide a bed, dinner/breakfast with your family, transportation to/from Pingry on school days, and (of course) a warm Pingry welcome. The weekend of February 21-22 is unscheduled to let you show your guest your favorite NJ/NY/PA sights and activities. They’re here to experience American life, so don’t feel like “regular life” is too boring. Got a hockey game or swim meet on Saturday morning? Take ‘em! Need to do some shopping at the mall? Great! Favorite restaurant in Manhattan? They’ll love it. The Chinese students will travel as a group to NYC and D.C. from 2/26 to 3/1, and will not need hosting those days. We are also seeking student “day hosts” to help our guests feel welcome and provide additional hosting resources. Pingry Global Programs 2015
