1 English II – Week of 11/03/2014 Weekly reminders: All late work is due by Wednesday to be counted on this quarter’s grade. Journals are past due! 1 st period – No bell ringer today! Clear your desk for the midterm. HW: We will continue with regular class and reading Malcolm X, so bring your books and class materials for a grade!

Objectives: Fix independent clauses; comprehend text Directions: Copy these sentences and make sure each clause is independent. 1. Today is Wednesday; the quarter this week. 2. I need to go shopping, for need shoes, a dress, and a sweater. 3. Next week is going to be short since we only have school Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; feel strange.
