(1 st block only) –Hook: Images –Instruction: The Big Read Audio –Group Work: Read and present important points from essays. 2 nd half –Independent Practice: Read Chapters 1-3. As you read, take notes on the social conventions of Maycomb. After you read, pretend you are Scout and you have been asked to make a list of social rules for her teacher to follow. –Closure: Journal
