Per Capita Income was $400 per year, before Earthquake. 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 are now homeless.

Shelter Against Future Environmental Tragedy Disaster and Emergency Permanent Replacement Dwellings History Here in the United States in 2005 after hurricane Katrina and Rita devastated New Orleans and the Gulf coasts, the U.S. Govt. spent $2.5 Billion on 150,000 FEMA trailers and motor homes those left homeless. They are sitting new, in lots today, useful as Scrap ONLY and cannot be lived in. Trailers are temporary housing at best, especially in region that is prone to hurricanes, and even if new ones were made safe, they are not practical to ship to Haiti. Warning! Not Safe to inhabit!
