2 A dialogue John: Hello Lucy, can I ask you something? Lucy: Sure, what´s the matter? John: It was Jack´s birthday yesterday and I´ve forgotten about it. Lucy: I think, you should call him now and say sorry. John: Yes, but it´s embarrassing, don´t you think? Lucy: If I were you I´d just say that you are sorry that you´ve forgotten but you wish him happy birhday today. John: Ok, it sounds good. Thank you Lucy. Bye Lucy: Bye.

8 Practice  Work in pairs. Choose two of the problems below and tell your partner what advice would you give. 1.Your best friend gave you a T- shirt for birthday but you don´t like it. 2.You want to buy this new MP3 player but you don´t have enough money. 3.You can´t sleep at night but you are really tired in the morning. 4.Tomorrow you have a biology test but you´ve lost all your notes. 5.You don´t know what to buy your boyfriend/ girlfriend for Valentine´s Day.
